Obituary of Maxwell Wilson

Maxwell Wilson, 19, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in New Light Ministries with the Rev. Joe Taylor officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.
Maxwell “Max-A-Million” Wilson was born April 29, 1997, in Galveston to Teandra Wilson and John Andre Maxwell. Maxwell attended Opportunity school in his early years, finishing at Caprock High School. Maxwell was undefeated in wrestling and held an A-B honor roll academic profile. He loved fishing, embraced his sense of humor and was very much loved by all.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Wilson of Amarillo; his great-great-grandmother, Lucille Odie; and his great-grandmother, Earnest Lee Wilson.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Shakazia Wilson of Amarillo; two nieces, Destiny Mitchell and Cydney Wilson; a brother, John Andre Maxwell Jr.; his aunts and uncles, Demetress Wilson, Cartissa Wilson, Betty Wilson, Marcus Taylor, Joseph Harris Jr., April Rojas, Joe Dean Taylor, Joe Shannon Taylor and Nikki Duncan; his grandparents, Wanda Maxwell and Sharon Chance; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation was for family only at the funeral home.

Robertson Galloway, 45, of Amarillo, Texas died 1-15-2016, in Amarillo, Texas.

Memorial services were held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Church of Amarillo, 1421 N.E. 15th Ave. Rev. Joe Taylor, Pastor, officiating. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Mr. Robertson Ervin Galloway was born December 4, 1971 in Amarillo, Texas to Mr. R.E. and Mrs. Donna Gail Galloway. He graduated from Tascosa High School. He was a loving husband, father, brother and family member.

Mr. Robertson Galloway was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. R.E. and Mrs. Donna Gail Galloway; and his sister, Mrs. Gennie Jointer of Waco, Texas.

Mr. Robertson Galloway leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Brenda Galloway of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Jasmine Galloway Michel of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brothers: Robert Galloway of Fort Worth, Texas, Stanley Floyd of Waco, Texas; sisters: Joyce Galloway of Amarillo, Texas and Sonia Galloway of Dallas, Texas; along with his grandson, Jayce Michel, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends

Carl Gene Bristow, 65, of Amarillo, Texas died 1-18-2016.

Services were January 27, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.

Carl Gene Bristow was born Aug. 22, 1950, grew up in Amarillo, graduated from Caprock High School, served in the Navy and afterward worked at the Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, Texas in ICU as a Registered Nurse.

Survived by wife Linda Bristow, son & wife Ben & Laura Bristow of Whiteface, Texas, Daughter, Angela Gail Bristow, Step-Son and wife, Gary & Misty Keeler. Brother James Michael “Mike” Bristow of Oklahoma. Sister, Paula K. Hornell of California and 10 grandchildren

Obituary of Tyrone Titus

Tyrone Titus, 45, of Amarillo, Texas died 1-28-2016.

Services were Saturday, 2-13-2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Emmanuel Church of God in Christ with Rev. Elisha Demerson Pastor, Rev. Richard Riles, Eulogist.

On January 17, 1971 Tyrone Titus was born in Amarillo, TX to Anthony Ledbetter and Marilyn Titus. He lived in Amarillo til his death.

Tyrone attended Forest Hill elementary school and Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Titus; Stepfather, Harrison Buris, Sr.; Grandmother, Evelyn Titus; Grandfather, Ebb Titus and Aunt Ossie Titus.

Tyrone was united in marriage to Tracy Shepard on May 27, 1992.

Tyrone leaves to cherish his memories: Four children; Whitney Alexandria Titus, Trenton Tyrell Titus, Trista Unique Titus and Gavin, all of Amarillo, TX; One Granddaughter, Khloe Christine Simental; One Brother, Harrsion Burris, Jr.; One Niece, Shalayne Lightfoot; One Nephew, Jamariyon Frazier; Two Aunts; MaryAnn Pipkins and Yvonne Wormly; One Uncle, Donald Ray Pipkins and Great Aunt, Helen Carey. Leon Davis Jr., 67, of Amarillo died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Anderson officiating. Burial were in White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita, Kan. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Leon B. Davis was born Feb. 29, 1948, in Wichita, Kan. He attended public school in Wichita and also attended Friends University. He was formerly employed with Greyhound/TNMO bus lines, Nathaniel Neal Unit and Northwest Texas Hospital. He was a member of Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church, where he served in the choir. He was also a member of the Hood Mass Community Choir.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Davis; his mother and stepfather, Ruthie and Akena Dawson; a son, Leon Davis III and Marlin McKay and wife Tamika; three daughters, Angel Davis Allen, Mischia Farrer and husband Jason and Mieko McKay; six siblings, Dwight DAvis, Belinda Smith-Hayes and husband Adolphus, Debra Davis, Sareta Head, James Dobbs and Towand Dobbs; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Obituary of Arthur Terrell

Arthur Terrell, 86, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater Love Temple, 811 S. Tennessee St., with the Rev. Jackie Riles, pastor, officiating and Superintendant A.L. Gipson as euglogist. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Arthur Lee Terrell was born July 5, 1929, in Palestine. He was the son of Walte and Maggie Terrell. He was an employee of the City of Amarillo for more than 25 years. He reved in the Army from 1957 to 1966.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Terrell; a son, Kenneth Epps of Abilene; four stepdaughters, Debra Bingley and husband Darrell of Arlington, Evelyn Luke, Tiffany Hill and Zoetta Morgan, all of Amarillo; five stepsons, Terry Luke of Livingston, Tony Luke and wife Rowena, Farris Luke III and wife Carol, Kerry Luke and wife Susan, and Michael Luke; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-granchildren.

Katie Mae Reese, 97, of Amarillo died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Warford-Walker Mortuary chapel with the Rev. E.J. Cofer officiating. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Katie Mae Reese was born May 26, 1918, in Mexia. She was a lontime resident of Amarillo and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include four nephews, Joe, John, Larry and Stanley Tharpe, all of Amarillo; and a niece, Carol Lax of Amarillo.
