Obituary of Ella Williams
Ella Williams, 62, died Monday, May 23, 2016.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday May 28th in Pentecostal Temple Church Of
God in Christ with Elijah B. Demerson, pastor, and the Rev. Jeff Riles
officiating and the Rev. Harry Williams as eulogist. Burial was in
Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements were by Warford-Walker
Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.
Ella Louise Williams was born May 17, 1954, in Milo, Okla., to Joe
Ray Williams and Ruby Ladell Williams. She moved to Amarillo in 1958,
where she later met and married her husband of 45 years, Harry James
Williams.
She was a loving and devoted pastor’s wife and mother of four sons
and two daughters. She was a member of New Jerusalem Church of God in
Christ in Borger for 28 years. Most importantly, Ella was a woman of
God; she was a virtuous woman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Ray Williams and Ruby
Ladell Williams; her stepfather, Jeff Lee Riles Jr.; a brother, Robert
Earl Liles; and a sister, Margaret Ann Riles.
Survivors include her husband, Harry James Williams; two daughters,
Tavisha Morris and husband Bert and Katecha Cook and husband Dave, all
of Amarillo; four sons, Harry James Williams Jr., Vedies Williams,
Tremayne Williams and Montray Williams and wife Yvette, all of Amarillo;
six brothers, Jeff Riles, James Riles and wife Phyllis, Floyd Riles and
wife Verna, Godfrey Riles, Greg Riles and Richard Riles and wife
Angela; five sisters, Shirley Riles, Hattie Carter and husband Lee, Kim
Riles, Diana Roberts and husband Shawn and Angela Barnes and husband
Kerry; 12
grandchildren; a great-
grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
