Obituary of James Collins

James Collins, 73, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in St. John Baptist Church, 2301 N.W. 14th Ave., with the Rev. Anthony B. Harris, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.
James was born July 27, 1942, in Waco. He was educated in Waco and moved to Amarillo in 1960.
He was employed with Texas Sand and Gravel for more than 25 years. James was an Amarillo resident for 56 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Branda Blount-Foster of Amarillo; three brothers, Anthony and Robert Earl Collins, both of Oklahoma City, and Billy Collins of Amarillo; three sisters, Valarie Collins of Denver and Teresa Cheetham-West and Vanessa Collins, both of Oklahoma City; and a grandson.
