Maxwell Wilson, 19, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 14, 2016.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in New Light Ministries with the Rev. Joe Taylor officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.
Maxwell “Max-A-Million” Wilson was born April 29, 1997, in Galveston to Teandra Wilson and John Andre Maxwell. Maxwell attended Opportunity school in his early years, finishing at Caprock High School. Maxwell was undefeated in wrestling and held an A-B honor roll academic profile. He loved fishing, embraced his sense of humor and was very much loved by all.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Wilson of Amarillo; his great-great-grandmother, Lucille Odie; and his great-grandmother, Earnest Lee Wilson.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Shakazia Wilson of Amarillo; two nieces, Destiny Mitchell and Cydney Wilson; a brother, John Andre Maxwell Jr.; his aunts and uncles, Demetress Wilson, Cartissa Wilson, Betty Wilson, Marcus Taylor, Joseph Harris Jr., April Rojas, Joe Dean Taylor, Joe Shannon Taylor and Nikki Duncan; his grandparents, Wanda Maxwell and Sharon Chance; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation was for family only at the funeral home.

Mr. Robertson Ervin Galloway was born December 4, 1971 in Amarillo, Texas to Mr. R.E. and Mrs. Donna Gail Galloway. He graduated from Tascosa High School. He was a loving husband, father, brother and family member.

Mr. Robertson Galloway was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. R.E. and Mrs. Donna Gail Galloway; and his sister, Mrs. Gennie Jointer of Waco, Texas.

Carl Gene Bristow was born Aug. 22, 1950, grew up in Amarillo, graduated from Caprock High School, served in the Navy and afterward worked at the Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, Texas in ICU as a Registered Nurse.

Tyrone Titus, 45, of Amarillo, Texas died 1-28-2016.

Services were Saturday, 2-13-2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Emmanuel Church of God in Christ with Rev. Elisha Demerson Pastor, Rev. Richard Riles, Eulogist.

On January 17, 1971 Tyrone Titus was born in Amarillo, TX to Anthony Ledbetter and Marilyn Titus. He lived in Amarillo til his death.

Tyrone attended Forest Hill elementary school and Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Titus; Stepfather, Harrison Buris, Sr.; Grandmother, Evelyn Titus; Grandfather, Ebb Titus and Aunt Ossie Titus.

Tyrone was united in marriage to Tracy Shepard on May 27, 1992.

Leon B. Davis was born Feb. 29, 1948, in Wichita, Kan. He attended public school in Wichita and also attended Friends University. He was formerly employed with Greyhound/TNMO bus lines, Nathaniel Neal Unit and Northwest Texas Hospital. He was a member of Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church, where he served in the choir. He was also a member of the Hood Mass Community Choir.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Davis; his mother and stepfather, Ruthie and Akena Dawson; a son, Leon Davis III and Marlin McKay and wife Tamika; three daughters, Angel Davis Allen, Mischia Farrer and husband Jason and Mieko McKay; six siblings, Dwight DAvis, Belinda Smith-Hayes and husband Adolphus, Debra Davis, Sareta Head, James Dobbs and Towand Dobbs; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Arthur Terrell, 86, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater Love Temple, 811 S. Tennessee St., with the Rev. Jackie Riles, pastor, officiating and Superintendant A.L. Gipson as euglogist. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Arthur Lee Terrell was born July 5, 1929, in Palestine. He was the son of Walte and Maggie Terrell. He was an employee of the City of Amarillo for more than 25 years. He reved in the Army from 1957 to 1966.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Terrell; a son, Kenneth Epps of Abilene; four stepdaughters, Debra Bingley and husband Darrell of Arlington, Evelyn Luke, Tiffany Hill and Zoetta Morgan, all of Amarillo; five stepsons, Terry Luke of Livingston, Tony Luke and wife Rowena, Farris Luke III and wife Carol, Kerry Luke and wife Susan, and Michael Luke; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-granchildren.

Katie Mae Reese was born May 26, 1918, in Mexia. She was a lontime resident of Amarillo and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include four nephews, Joe, John, Larry and Stanley Tharpe, all of Amarillo; and a niece, Carol Lax of Amarillo.

James was born July 27, 1942, in Waco. He was educated in Waco and moved to Amarillo in 1960.
He was employed with Texas Sand and Gravel for more than 25 years. James was an Amarillo resident for 56 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Branda Blount-Foster of Amarillo; three brothers, Anthony and Robert Earl Collins, both of Oklahoma City, and Billy Collins of Amarillo; three sisters, Valarie Collins of Denver and Teresa Cheetham-West and Vanessa Collins, both of Oklahoma City; and a grandson.

Jeff Lee Riles Sr., 83, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Emmanuel Temple Church of God in Christ, 900 N. Adams St., with Pastor Elisha L. Demerson officiating and Pastor Harry J. Williams as eulogist. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Survivors include 16 children, 61 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing was from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Melchisedec Jackson, 69, of Amarillo died Monday, Feb. 29, 2016.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, 325 Oak Drive, with the Rev. E.B. Demerson, pastor, officiating and Elder Willie Jackson as eulogist. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Mel was born July 17, 1946, in Brooksville, Okla., to Mel and Lillie Jackson. He attended elementary school in Brooksville. The family later moved to Altus, Okla., where he attended Lincoln School. After graduation, Mel joined the Marines. While serving his country in Vietnam, Mel received a Purple Heart and several other medals. Mel returned to Altus, where he was the first black meter reader.

Mel moved to Amarillo and retired from Asarco after 30 years. After retirement, he worked at Hilltop Senior citizens, volunteering with Meals on Wheels until his death. He married Martha Jean Howard on Nov. 14, 1987. Together they raised three beautiful children. He was a hard-
working man who loved being with family and friends. Mel was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was known by many as the man who loved hats. He loved God and attended Galilee Church of God In Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ozetta Smith; and a grandchild, Corlissa Dixon.

Survivors include his loving wife, Martha Jean; three children, Corey and wife Lisa Dixon, Alicia and husband Robby Shepherd and Jahmel Jackson, all of Amarillo; six brothers, Leroy and wife Laura Jackson of Joplin, Mo., Bobby and wife Zelma Jackson of Midwest City, Okla., Lonnie and wife Lanessa Jackson of Altus, Ariz., Henry Jackson of Oklahoma City and James and wife Brenda Jackson and Willie and Robbie Jackson, all of Amarillo; four sisters, Marie Johnson of Fort Worth, Bettie Nubine of Altus, Okla., and Maudie and husband John Chandler and Delois and husband Kermiet Baker, all of Amarillo; a brother-in-law, Lamont Smith of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Courtney, Azurae, Meliyah, Corey Jr., Marcus and Carl; a host of relatives and friends; and Sheila Edwards, whom he cared for like his daughter.

Judia E. Harris was born May 29, 1942, in Stamford. She moved to Amarillo in 1994 from Bronx, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents, B.H. and Bertha Johnson; her husband, Robert Harris; a son, Ronnie Johnson; and a daughter, Doris Marie Harris.

Survivors include two sons, James Johnson and wife May of San Bernadino, Calif., and Troy Johnson and wife Camelia of Amarillo; a sister, Doris Stevens of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Shayla M. Kristen was born June 23, 1988, in Lubbock to Aaron Samules and La Sonia King. Kristen and her family moved from Amarillo at an early age. She attended Eastridge Elementary School, Horace Mann and Travis Middle Schools, and was a 2005 graduate of Palo Duro High School.

Khrissy was a member of Berachah Church of God in Christ, where she served faithfully under the spiritual leadership of Elder Rupert C. Brashears Jr. Elder Brashears stated that Khrissy was an obedient, loyal and loving woman of few words. She was preparing to be a part of the Bible Drill Team. She worked for YMCA as a child care assistant director for more than seven years. Khrissy was employed with Atmos Energy.

Rock on, rock star, rock on.

Khrissy had an award-winning smile and was known as a rock star, and that is why she said she drove a Bugatti.

Survivors include two sons, Za’Ryan Willams Owens and Zaydyn Williams Owens; a daughter, Zoey Owens, all of the home; the love of her life, Ralph L. Owens of Amarillo; her father, Aaron Samuels of Lubbock; her mother, LaSonia King of Amarillo; five brothers, Private Secong Class Johnathan Lacy and wife Brittney of Tacoma, Wash., Brandon Milton of Lubbock, Aaron Samuels Jr. and Jaron Samuels, both of Slaton, and Kyron Lawson of Tahoka; three sisters, Tianna Williams and husband Wesley of Amarillo and Debra Lacy and Tacoiya Harris and husband Broderick, all of Lubbock; her grandparents, Cecil and Minnie Devereaux of Fort Worth; and a host of loving nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Iris B. Dyer was born May 3, 1950, in Holdenville, Okla. While living in Amarillo, she was employed as a nurse at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital and Northwest Texas Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Eagle of Oklahoma City; two sons, Curtis Dyer of Arlington and Frederick Dyer of Amarillo; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Minter was born Oct. 10. 1936 in Wellsburgh, W. Va. He served in the Army from June 5, 1956, to April 11, 1958.
Survivors include a daughter, Hestine Marie Minter of Amarillo; a son, Simen Burrvel Jr. of Bakersfield, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Sharon was born June 17, 1961, in Amarillo. She attended Lee Bivins Elementary School, Austin Middle School and was a 1979 graduate of Tascosa High School. She later attended Amarillo College.
Sharon was employed with Anderson Merchandisers. She was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church, serving under Pastor Grover Neal and Anthony B. Harris.
Survivors include two sons, Antwan Gilbreath and Adrian Gilbreath and Nadia Hernandez, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Zaria Jeter, Antwn Gilbreath Jr., Adrain Gilbreath Jr., London Gilbreath and Esme Gilbreath, all of Amarillo; her brothers, Aaron Gilbreath and wife Ruby of Amarillo, David Gilbreath and wife Anke of Neunkirchen, Germany, and Dwight Cleveland of Amarillo; her sisters, Sandra Gilbreath of Amarillo, Lynette Gilbreath of Amarillo and Ja’Nice Gilbreath of Houston; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Thelma B. Johnson was born on March 8, 1908, in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She was a longtime resident of Amarillo for over 60 years. She was a member of the Saint Martin Catholic Church.
She is survived by distant cousins in Spencer, Oklahoma and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mr. Lester Moore was born May 13, 1927, in Lincoln. He was an Amarillo resident for more than 60 years.
He was formerly employed with ASARCO and was a business owner for many years. He was a faithful member of New Light Ministries and an Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, Johnnie Ray Moore and wife Kelly of San Angelo; seven stepsons and stepdaughters; three brothers, Ruth Moore, Johnnie Moore and Omar Sharif; two grandsons, Johnny Ray Moore Jr. and Demarcus Moore and wife Tabitha; and six great-grandchildren.

Clarence Wright was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Shreveport, La. He was a retired boiler fireman. He was an Amarillo resident for more than 30 years.

Ella Louise Williams was born May 17, 1954, in Milo, Okla., to Joe Ray Williams and Ruby Ladell Williams. She moved to Amarillo in 1958, where she later met and married her husband of 45 years, Harry James Williams.
She was a loving and devoted pastor’s wife and mother of four sons and two daughters. She was a member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ in Borger for 28 years. Most importantly, Ella was a woman of God; she was a virtuous woman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Ray Williams and Ruby Ladell Williams; her stepfather, Jeff Lee Riles Jr.; a brother, Robert Earl Liles; and a sister, Margaret Ann Riles.

He married Dorothy Halsey Collins in 1957. He was a veteran, who served in the Marine Corps and retired from the Air Force in 1972.
Survivors include a sister, Inez Johnson of memphis, Tenn.’ a stepson, William “Bill” Collins of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Keith Collins of Garland and Kirk Collins and Kami Collins, both of Amarillo; and a nephew, Larry White of Memphis, Tenn.
